Yes, Vendio is buggy; very buggy. I started using them because of the illustion of accessing multiple sites. It is not as easy as Vendio states. For instance you will pay an additional $40/month to Amazon for that Vendio/Amazon interface. After all the work I did for my FREE web site, I could find it on Google. Vendio feeds into Google apparently is not working and you can not correct it yourself. They have complete control over that. The bottom line is Vendio is expensive for what they offer. Their Customer Service is very bad and it is some times days before they get back to you. Their HELP option is very out-of-date. You can call them directly for an additional cost. Free is very costly on Vendio. I would do more homework before considering them.
Now if you want an adverture do consider them. However, I don't have the time or money to continue with Vendio. I want to sell products, not work around their problems.

hello,
i am using Vendio now as stated above. Vendio to me is not flexible at all and buggy. I understand its new so i have tried hard to be patient. i will not go deeper into the bugs etc. now.
features i need: 1. multi-channel selling from one inventory and order management platform 2. triggered invoice/order emails to more than the seller and the buyer, i.e. shipper 3. flexible import/export of inventory with capability to sort, search and modify fields in bulk, i.e. control over your csv file for example. 4. when importing inventory for the first time into a new multi-channel platform, the embedded images will be parsed so the URL fit the new server (of course the images were uploaded first into the new server and the image names are the same). 5. easily dump related sells data into Quickbooks Pro 2010 6. interfaces to common checkout and payment services including credit cards and Google Checkout and AMZ checkout. 7. flexible editing of the original eBay items descriptions so they fit into the new platform system. i spend weeks doing this using Vendio. 8. 7 above also applies to any selling channels, i,e. the items description and details MUST fit each selling channel requirements.
any suggestions on who can handle this without spending a fortune?
all ideas welcome.
thanks, Billy

Hi, I normally hate to jump into a conversation as it seems so intrusive on some forums, but Andy provides such a great place for sellers that we feel comfortable interjecting now and again. (Thanks Andy!)
@Billy - First, thanks so much for your comments! We definitely appreciate hearing from our sellers and appreciate that you are sticking with us. Please drop me a note with what you are having problems with and I’d be more than happy to help!
@Bottom – I’m so sorry you’ve run into issues. I will try to address all the items in your post..A few things to note - Amazon pricing is Amazon and we don’t really have anything to do with that. Google recently made some changes which we’ve adopted. In a nutshell, all the feeds are distributed thru us vs. on an individual user basis. This leads to some issues where feeds will fails. Causes of feed failures are all over the board – for example, too much capitalization in a title or the mention of “shipping"? There are a multitude of reasons and we working with sellers who feeds have failed to assist them with this. Since the explanations and error messages are pretty vague, it can be challenging to determine the exact root cause. We are working with Google and hopefully in time, this will become less painful and less confusing for everyone!
For out of date help. We’re in the process of releasing all new help documentation, and this should be onsite within a few days. Having input from sellers really helped with this process. We got a lot of seller input and hopefully we’ve provided more than enough documentation to cover virtually everything under the sun (at least it felt like when we were writing it!)
As far as customer service. We just completed a survey and it shows that sellers really love our customer service. I feel bad that you had to wait, its not typical. Typically, we hear great things about our customer service. And yes, you are right there is a personal assistance service that you can pay for that gives you on demand training and assistance.
With all that said. I’d love to retain you as a customer. From what I read, you are using us for the Free Store..and I’d be more than happy to help you with any issue or really just to help you sell. Please drop me a line. I’d love love love to hear from you! And we definitely love another change to service your needs.
@grievousangel. I have just a few things, I don’t know if you’ve seen our update from spreadsheet? This is relatively new and it definitely gives you more flexibility with #3
We are missing a few things mentioned in your list..(mails to shippers (great idea), quickbooks 2010. I think many of your items have been improved upon.
Again, I would love to hear from you on any outstanding issues you may have.
I could go on and on, but I better stop here or it will be book length
Thanks so much for all your comments and feel free to contact me directly at hfang at corp dot vendio dot com.
Best regards, Helen

@Helen
I am still have a big problem paying the bill. I thought maybe it was one of your bugs and it would go away. I tried again this morning (day 5) some old thing:
An unexpected error has occurred, please contact Customer Service. I have contacted your Customer Service via email - nothing for about 24 hours and all I get is your nomorl response. Yes, I have cleared the browser history, used Firefox and all of the other things.
Now your Customer Service is telling me I can pay going through www.paypal.com, but I have pay additionally. By the way this was my suggestion. Not your customer service. Typical I am finding the solutions without your help.

Sorry guys, but this is only way I can get a response from Vendio. So every one else don’t read this unless you like drama.
One last note Helen: I did pay going through SEND MONEY on PayPal. Using the CC, which was the same one I was trying to change on your system; paid the additional 5% fee for that privilege. The problem is it took me 5 days to pay the bill, because of your buggy system and 24 hour response from your Customer Service (well actually not, because I attempted on the first notice weeks ago). Especially, the usual response of clearing your browser history, try Firefox, etc. Don’t you think I do that now automatically?
Here is the message I got:
An unexpected error has occurred, please contact Customer Service. It really tells me a lot doesn’t it.
By the way, hats off to Seller Sourcebook’s Customer Service. They have been there for me. I usually get a response within 10 minutes. Plus, they are very knowledgeable. Yes, they are not what you call a multi channel platform, but they support multiple on-line auctions sites, which apparently I was looking for.
I consider this gripe done, I am leaving Vendio.
I have been thinking and looking at the multi-channel solutions and wonder if they are truly worth the expense. Here are my thoughts. These solutions are not truly multi-channel. I want something that would work for all avenues including in my physical store. All inventory systems establish the same information; item identifier, description, payment and shipping information, bar codes, etc. What is missing the interfaces between the channels. It would be a powerful thing, if some one develops an inventory system which you purchase the different interfaces to eBay, Amazon, Google, other on-line auctions and, yes, my physical store. I am sure you can add to this list. On top of that it should interface with my accounting software and be any where I choose (my computer or web site). So, why would you be strapped down with these ecommerce solutions? Don’t do what I did; get the best advertised system without looking more closely. Ask yourself, what will I give up if I chose this solution, not what will I gain.

Just started with the free store. Was able to import listing but... when I tried to change stuff, somehow the csv file was processed but the changes were not (price and image). also the category that I deleted kept reappearing a few time. Definitely buggy. The store site was slow too. I am looking into hosting on my own account but I am very nervous. Hope it's not time wasted.

sent a couple emails to them. still waiting to hear back.
I am trying to move the store to my google hosting account. after I started the installer, I got the error message at the end:
The installer was unable to verify htaccess rules. Your Store will be fully functional but some search engines may encounter difficulties accessing some of the pages.
I didn't want to continue. anyone knows how to fix this?

Okay I heard from our CS team & this is what they said:
Set the Permissions to 777. This response is based on Bugs relating to htaccess rules. If that doesn't work, they'll need to contact the registrar.
Let me know if it works.

So far I have been very happy with Vendio's customer support. The response time is very quick. However, I wanted to participate in the community forum to post topics and it keeps sending me back to my account asking me to enter my credit card info. Any idea?

My store is still hosted on Vendio for free but the store takes forever to load. So I want to move to my own hosting account. I was able to setup and start the installer. But I encountered the following error on the next step:
The installer was unable to verify htaccess rules. Your Store will be fully functional but some search engines may encounter difficulties accessing some of the pages.
My hosting is with godaddy. I googled htaccess and read somewhere that this is a relatively common problem with godaddy hosting. Anyone has experience moving to godaddy hosting with success? Right now I don't want to continue to the next step.

Wow, I was looking into using Vendio but after reading this thread, I lost my appetite... Has anyone moved on from Vendio to another platform and is not happy?
I am looking for a solution that wil me list on ebay, Amazon and my website (Magento based) I want to be able to create an item ONCE, and than list it on all platforms while obviously having the system manage inventory and orders as well.
Oh yeah, and Im also NOT looking to spend $700 a month... i'm looking for software, not a partner.
