Latest Version of GarageSale Released
A new version of Mac listing tool GarageSale has been released.
GarageSale 5.4 features batch re-listing of auctions and an integrated store for auction designs.
The design store offers 50 new multi-layout designs starting at USD/EUR 1.99. These designs can be previewed and purchased directly from within GarageSale and are automatically downloaded and installed. Purchased designs can be used in any number of auctions. The store is open to third-party designers.
Auctiva Larger Images and More Templates
Auction management solution Auctiva has added over 30 new templates and now supports the display of Supersize images over 1 megapixel in resolution.
The new templates are category and theme neutral, providing designs for many different products.
Auctiva Supersize image users can now show photographs up to 1,280 x 1,024 pixels in size, an increase of two-thirds on the previous maximum of 1,024 x 768 pixels.
AuctionSage 10 In Beta Testing
Popular desktop-based eBay auction management tool AuctionSage is beta testing its next major version.
AuctionSage 10 will feature Shipping Discount Profiles, auto-accept and auto-reject for best offers, a brand new HTML editor, and major improvements to custom item specifics.
eBay Announces The eBay Simple Lister
eBay has announced a new listing tool based on Microsoft's Silverlight technology, called the eBay Simple Lister.
The new tool was presented at Microsoft developer conference MIX10 by eBay VP of Product Development, Raji Arasu. A notable feature is the use of a standard webcam to read a product's barcode and pull in catalog data. Watch the presentation.

SpoonFeeder Creator Considers Lawsuit Against Source Code Buyer
The creator of eBay software SpoonFeeder is considering a lawsuit against the purchaser of the source code over rights to the SpoonFeeder name, reports AuctionBytes.
Software creator Gene Chandler sold the program's source code to Zone One Software and Xasio Group, but retained personal ownership of the trademark and name.
Xasio Group recently issued a press release with the headline "Spoonfeeder software will be back", prompting the current situation. The press release has since been taken down.
SMApps Now Open to Non-Selling Manager Subscribers
eBay's system for hosting applications within Selling Manager, SMApps, is now open to all eBay.com registered sellers, not just those with Selling Manager subscriptions.
The eBay Apps Center includes nearly 40 applications from sourcing products to accounting tools. Compatible tools in the directory can be viewed here.
Mercent Announces Amazon Repricing Feature
eCommerce marketing platform Mercent Retail has added a new feature, called the Price Optimization Engine.
The new tool automatically determines and optimizes product pricing and merchandising offers on Amazon and other third-party online shopping channels. Features include rules-based criteria, continuous price adjusting, and the ability to tailor product offers based on competing sellers and programs.
"Mercent’s new Price Optimization Engine builds upon years of eCommerce technology innovation and development, providing our retail clients an even greater competitive advantage through Mercent Retail in an increasingly crowded and dynamic online consumer market," said Eric Best, CEO of Mercent.
SpoonFeeder Source Code Acquired
Programming code behind the SpoonFeeder listing software has been acquired by Zone One Software and Xasio Group, and a relaunch is planned.
The popular software disappeared abruptly last month after the bankruptcy of parent company Great Lakes Software.
The software is currently being updated for Windows 7 and the new owners are asking previous users of the software to contact them with ideas for future enhancements.
Xasio Group currently operate an online marketplace at www.xasio.com.
eBay Developers Conference 2010 Registration Open
Registration is now open for the eBay Developers Conference, to be held 8-10 June 2010 in San Jose, California. The price is $99 per attendee until April 23rd, or $49 for students.

New eBay Analytics and Feedback Tools Added
- Sellerwise provides data on visitors to eBay listings including number of views and search terms used.
- DSR Report, from eBay Star Developer runner-up NullApps, provides a report on a seller's Detailed Seller Ratings (DSR) feedback.
Sellebrity Announces eBay Listing Manager
eBay analytics tool Sellebrity has launched a one-page listing manager for its analytics customers.
The Sellebrity Listing Manager offers 20 listings per month for free, with paid plans starting at $8.99 per month available from April 15. Both free and paid plans will include the Sellebrity Analytics service for no additional fee.
Monsoon Acquired by Alibris
Management solution for books and media sellers Monsoon has been acquired by book marketplace Alibris.

Monsoon sellers can currently submit their products to marketplaces including Abebooks, Alibris, Amazon, Buy.com and Half.
Gixen Releases Desktop Manager
Popular web-based sniping tool Gixen now offers a Windows application which monitors auctions and manages snipes.
The snipe bids themselves are still submitted by Gixen's servers, and the desktop tool - currently an early alpha version - is only available to "mirror" service subscribers. More information.
