Infopia Hit By Denial of Service Attack
eCommerce software company Infopia has suffered downtime and performance problems after being hit by a denial of service (DOS) attack, reports AuctionBytes.
Problems started on October 24th when an Infopia merchant was targeted with a DOS attack that indirectly impacted all of the company's merchants. Sites hosted by Infopia were down for four hours that day and were still performing below normal levels two weeks later.
Infopia notified customers that it had assembled an emergency team to tackle the issue including current and former employees, along with technical specialists from new parent company Versata and an unnamed eCommerce partner - rumored to be eBay.
