Auction Explorer installed its button in Internet Explorer, but it didn't do anything. Having the search in a sidebar is a good idea, but IE plugins for eBay are not a new thing - there are context menu add-ons (e.g. GutCheck), toolbars (eBay's own, MOOBar), and another sidebar - Auction Remote.
