I gave the basic service a try. It was so bad I gave up and got better results using Google to search eBay!
eBay Marketplace Research was slow, inaccurate and generally unhelpful. When I cancelled the subscription my access was immediately withdrawn rather than remaining to the end of the period I had paid for.
eBay has much better access to its users than any third-party service. It should provide good quality applications because many users will not be aware that there is an alternative. This falls short on every count. It's not even easy to find in My eBay once you have subscribed.
