Registration page doesn't hide password field?, 3 May 2010
Reviewer:
roystonlodge
I haven't used eSnipe, because I noticed that during the registration process the password field wasn't hidden. I've never, ever, seen a website that doesn't hide your password when you type it in.
That made me nervous, so I did not continue with the registration process.

If you want o win, avoid Esnipe at all costs..., 7 September 2009

If No Stars was an option, I would have chosen it. Esnipe has lost three auctions for me in two weeks... The most recent was a 64 gig thumb drive for, get this, $26.51. The bid below me, $26.01 got it, I had $28.00 available in proxy for 50 cent increments. Again, third loss in two weeks. I cant even mention the other two, its just too painful... I'm moving on...

An Ok service, but there are better, 2 August 2009

Used this service for several months, worked OK, but had some restrictions that I didn't like. Most bids were placed, but sometime bid early. Moved on to another bid service that I had better success with.

Lost several bids, 7 September 2007

I liked the layout but missed some very important bids. Reading their site log, it seems like they have periodic problems. I appreciated the fact that they are honest about their shortcomings, but there were too many shortcomings. I know sniping isn't a perfect science, but still, I was sad to miss the items. Oh well. The customer service was good though and the apology was heartfelt, so there's that.

Absolutely GREAT service!, 2 October 2006

I've been using eSnipe for several years now. I still remember the "good old days" of staying up late, putting in bids in the closing minutes, heart racing, spending more than I intended....
My favorite thing is their SnipeIt! tool. You download it and it shows up in your "links" in your toolbar. When you're on an eBay page that you want to place a snipe bid on, you just click the SnipeIt! link and a pop-up window automatically takes the auction information from the page you're on. You tell it how much you want to bid and that's it.
Bid groups are cool, too. If you wanted a particular item, like a certain movie title, you can put snipe bids on multiple auctions for the same product. It will submit your bids for each auction but once you win one it cancels the rest of the bids in the group.
The fees are reasonable and well worth it. This is definately one to check out!
