Great site, 29 January 2012

Reviewer: flippancy Junior Member

I've been using eSnipe since it first started. In over 8000 bids they've missed 3 bids, 2 because their server was down for a few minutes and once because eBay screwed up. I have no idea why any of the complaints have happened, but I've never seen anything like them happen. No other site I tried have ever come close to eSnipe. Unless there is one I don't know about, this is the best out there.

I have no connection with eSnipe except as a user.

Very Bad experience..., 7 August 2011

Reviewer: scudeast Junior Member

Worked for a while and was fine.

"The connection has timed out"
"The server at www.esnipe.com is taking too long to respond."

(actual messages)

I wanted to cancel a big bid after researching the item and deciding I didn't want.

However the server started going down and no way to reach it. Not for 5 minutes, not for 10 minutes but currently hours...

BEWARE!

If you want to cancel bids.... you can't due to not being able to access the server!!! With no way of getting to the server (just times out..) you are completely stuck.

This is TOTALLY unacceptable for a real-time online service and my strong advice is to avoid this site and take your business elsewhere.

Registration page doesn't hide password field?, 3 May 2010

Reviewer: roystonlodge Junior Member

I haven't used eSnipe, because I noticed that during the registration process the password field wasn't hidden. I've never, ever, seen a website that doesn't hide your password when you type it in.

That made me nervous, so I did not continue with the registration process.

If you want o win, avoid Esnipe at all costs..., 7 September 2009

Reviewer: runester Junior Member

If No Stars was an option, I would have chosen it.
Esnipe has lost three auctions for me in two weeks...
The most recent was a 64 gig thumb drive for, get this, $26.51.
The bid below me, $26.01 got it, I had $28.00 available in proxy for 50 cent increments.
Again, third loss in two weeks. I cant even mention the other two, its just too painful...
I'm moving on...

An Ok service, but there are better, 2 August 2009

Reviewer: mkj Pro

Used this service for several months, worked OK, but had some restrictions that I didn't like. Most bids were placed, but sometime bid early. Moved on to another bid service that I had better success with.
