Ton of upfront payments, inccomplete work, archaic formats desperately need revisions, 21 August 2008

Reviewer: JKM Junior Member

Took a ton of money up front even though never delivered the full amount of training that ended up being very loose. No response to address this issues -- just ignored it,. Don't be pressured into paying this money up front -- research this and other companies carefully by visiting them first hand. Tech support defensive when queried and accusatory, blaming our business too much, unpleasant. Others were really great. When you get involved with this company, you'll see that, at this time, it's mostly a glorified listing tool imo designed for businesses that want to blow stuff out using the internet and mostly rely on that format. If you have a store front and have other needs, you'll be seeking help elsewhere for this additional support , and it'll cost you plenty. Also, you will be amazed at how archaic shipping implementation is. The company has a reputation for being setting intensive and extremely procedural with training, with long, long hours required. This is very true. Ultimately it will be up to the business to draw upon their own content knowledge to make this system work. We are making it work. But, using hind site, there are less expensive alternatives.

Expensive and Difficult implementation. Overpriced, 18 July 2007

Reviewer: Rainbowappliance Junior Member

Want to charge me $2000 for "Integration". Got some very basic standard training, not the 20 hours that was specified.

Software has lots of nifty features. No idea how to use them.

They are the most expensive software. Support is very weak. Training and integration is a major hassle.

Should have been more suspicious when they insisted on $$$ up front and long term contracts.

Excellent company to partner with, 4 June 2007

I've been with Infopia for several years, and I'm very satisfied. I've used them to sell on Amazon, Overstock, eBay, GBase, Shopping.com, PriceGrabber, and Shopzilla/BizRate. If you sell repeatable inventory, Infopia's Marketplace Manager makes it a snap to update, list and sell your inventory. Their bulk import/export tools are fabulous for updating inventory fields in a flash - I couldn't manage a large product catalog without it.

Their Configurator tool helps me differentiate my listings on eBay, and it helps to generate incremental sales increases. I also use multiple listing templates that I can quickly update when my terms or pricing change.

Two keys to scaling your business are efficiency and automation, and there is plenty of each with MM. If you've never had a standalone storefront, a very nice one is included in the price, and that can help you break away from being an eBay-only business.

In fact, I'm such a big fan that I've added two pages with information about Infopia to my storefront:

Custom Dev and Enterprise Level Software, 14 August 2006

Reviewer: dallasgolf Junior Member

We've been using Infopia since 2003. They have completely automated many of the processes we used to spend huge $$ in labor for. Order processing, auction management, and customer service are all linked in one system. I can run my entire operation from one desk. We have access to eBay, Overstock, Amazon, as well as feeds to all of the major shopping comparision engines. Our business costs are lower and our profitability is greater because of Infopia's tools.
