Kyozou helped us successfully boost and manage our eBay sales, 30 April 2007

Reviewer: allstarsalez Junior Member

We've been using Kyozou for over 2 years now to sell motorized vehicles on eBay. In that time, Kyozou has helped us become the largest seller four wheels, bikes, dirt bikes, choppers etc in the country.

Before Kyozou, we were all over the place, it took us at least three times as long to get things done as after we started using Kyozou. Kyozou gave us inventory control that allowed us to track and find our stuff in the warehouse.

Kyozou gave us automatic listing management without which we'd still spend hours every day to post and re-list our items. We now ship everything through Kyozou (automatically), no more copying and pasting into the UPS program to ship stuff. We get all our reports from Kyozou too and now know just what sells and what to promote.

Also, in the next short while, Kyozou will be building our website for us and doing the search marketing for it as well. In our experience, it's a great system from people who really know their stuff.

Do not listen to these whiners, KYOZOU guys are the best in business PERIOD.

Kyozou - A Total Mess. Can I Leave Them Zero Stars Please?, 17 June 2006

Reviewer: auctioncom Junior Member

I just came back from eBay Live, and seeing the lineup of innocent sellers at the Kyozou booth with the rat mascot about to have their businesses ruined, their livelihoods stripped away, and their dignity shattered by broken software, indifferent customer support, and fraudulent billing practices.....I started thinking about how I got conned by them last year and felt a swell of sympathy.

Learn from my pain. I recently got my business out of Kyozou, and not a moment too soon. Their software bugs cost us thousands upon thousands of dollars in bungled orders, wasted time, and irate customers. Yes, with the money I lost I could have bought a CAR. Here are some of the highlights:

Selling:
Ugly Web templates that can't be customized. Frequent downtime lost countless sales.
Almost daily customer complaints that checkout doesn't work. I eventually had to get a second Paypal account to process orders manually.
Their servers frequently slow down, throwing customers into a loop where they end up paying several times, leading to charge-backs and unhappy customers.
Checkout is NOT SSL encrypted, so your customers orders could get their credit card numbers stolen in transit.

Shipping:
Shipping queue is always different than the actual number of orders. Orders frequently get lost in the system.
Shipping calculator frequently wrong - sometimes triple charges customers.
Cannot ship to addresses with long names.
There was a horrible episode where Kyozou added "library mail" capability and all of my orders defaulted to library mail. Cost me hundreds.

Other factoids:
Kyozou isn't compatible with eBay Express or Amazon.com.
Bills come non-itemized. If you demand an itemized bill they always have to correct it down (happened to me three times).
Customer Service doesn't answer e-mails. You have to call during bankers hours, and they take off for both American and Canadian holidays.

I could go on but I've run out of space. Save your business and sanit...

Marketplace nightmare management, 16 June 2006

Interface: B
Functionality: D
Tech Support: D
Stability: F
Cost: $$$$

eBay Express Compatibility: No
Browser compatibility: Internet Explorer Only
PC/Mac: PC Only
Office Location: Canada (tech support) and Europe (outsourced programming team)

Too much money is spent on advertising and not enough on stability. Servers regularly go down. Auto-listers prone to fail. Regular checkout errors. You must convert all your sku's to Kyozou's system generated product ID.
The e-commerce store solution is VERY basic, highly unintuitive and discouraging for buyers to use.

Tech support consists of two people who can't really help you because their programming team is outsourced in europe. They are available during regular business hours monday through friday, no weekend support. You have a 30% chance getting through. If you leave a message you have a 10% chance of getting a call back. E-mail ticket support has an average response time of 4-5 business days. There is no online ticket log system.

Skip this company if you want to spend time building your business and not troubleshooting their software. Do you really want to pay your employees to beta-test their software? I don't think so. Don't believe me? Read the Kyozou User's Forum on eBay (because Kyozou's own forum doesn't work):

Great software BUT not yet ready for the UK..., 13 May 2006

Reviewer: sellthemoon Star Member Company

Kyozou is very good management & inventory software. The interface is easy to use and it has a very, very comprehensive range of features. It is for the serious eBay / Website seller, its cost and warehousing system reflect this. Ultimately it is designed to automate as much of the warehousing, sales, payment, delivery, pickups, returns , etc processes as possible. I suspect that if you are a major volume seller of new DVDs or branded MP3`s etc then this software would be a dream. A BIG note of caution for UK sellers, however ... - you cannot yet process postage / shipping in the UK ! You can`t even get an address label out of it. This is because the shipping module is intrinsically linked to a carrier or company (such as Royal Mail) but Kyozou does not currently support any UK based ones - they`re working on it. Also, I think their consignment module is currently flawed because you cannot specify dates for invoicing consigned products (i.e. it can`t produce an invoice for all of consignor X`s fees and monies due for listings in April ). I`ll let you know when things progress....

Be Aware!, 4 May 2006

Reviewer: bdjolie Star Member

I can't say whether this is a good working tool or not because I have never used it, and I will never use it because they are not upfront with listing their prices, but are upfront with asking for all your contact information and business activity. Is it really any of their business to know all this? Any company that is not upfront with their prices, yet asks for all your information is usually not the kind of company you want to deal with unless they truly do provide custom products or services. They may use a song and dance that they want to make sure that they are a right fit for your company or that they want to have a chance to talk to you first, etc. Usually, the real reason is because they want to find out how much you are worth and if you are worth their time and effort. I bet you if users compared their fees with each other, you will find that the more profitable ebayers are paying more than the first timers for the exact same product. They may even justify this by saying that they have to do this because higher volume sellers require more support or something of the sort. Let me ask you this, does ebay charge a first time ebayer a lower listing fee than a powerseller? No because they are legit and are upfront with their fees. If you call Kyozou up and find this not to be the case, then great. I wish you the world of success with Kyozou. I am just writing this review as a word of caution!
