Page Mage not ready for Prime time, 19 February 2011

Reviewer: dang Junior Member

Have tried using Page Mage for a couple of weeks now and the service is littered with bugs, From not being able to upload pictures to outright outages becomes very frustrating. Service and Support is also lacking. Any issue that I have sent to support has come back with the same reply 'It's not the Page Mage service its your computer your ISP' or any other thing they can think of blaming.

The pages are rather eye catching and the concept is interesting but at this point Page Mage is not ready for Prime time. I would take a look at biggerbids.com as the service is very similar as is the pricing and there are not as many bugs.

Maybe one day Page Mage will get it right or at least acknowledge that there are bugs rather then pointing the finger at whatever moves.

I hope this helps.

I am sorry that you have experienced issues with Page Mage.  Let me address your two points:, 4 March 2011

Comment by: pagemage Pro Company

- You are right, we have experienced a few outages in the past as we’ve grown due to some issues outside our control and some inside our control.  We've taken steps to ensure these issues do not happen again by moving our infrastructure to “the cloud” which means greater redundancy and reliability. We have also just separated the description viewer from the main website.  This last step will ensure that your listings will not go down if the main site is down with a problem or for maintenance. Since we finalized these changes recently we haven’t experienced any further outages.

- You are also right that there have been bugs with the product. My apologies if your perception was we’re trying to blame something else other than the product. When we ask questions about your hardware and software, we are not trying to blame your computer but rather trying to duplicate your configuration in our labs so we find and address them in a timely manner.

GREAT IDEA ... IF IT WORKED!, 13 February 2011

Reviewer: MILFORDMAN Junior Member

I've tried this service for the last 6 months - and have found it to be great - when it worked - but all too often the site is down - the big draw back is - when PAGE MAGE is down - SO ARE YOUR AUCTIONS! - meaning - NO ONE CAN VIEW THEM! - and this happens (too) often! - with that said - the designs are great and the auctions you can create are eye popping - but here again - MORE PROBLEMS - the page designs are not always saved - meaning you need to go back in and recreate them - which can often take 3 or 4 times before it is saved correctly - ALSO - there is no edit/delete feature - so EVERY AUCTION you ever created is always in your account - so you need to file through hundreds of old auctions to find and edit new ones - and the list goes on and on - the big thing here is - that if you are a serious seller on Ebay - it is NOT FOR YOU - it can easily take you an hour to create ONE AUCTION! - They (PAGE MAGE) released the software too early - they should have worked out the problems first - but right now - it's - TOO RISKY - they really need to work on several issues - but esp. the site crashing issue - because like I said - when they are down - so are your auctions!

Total customization with No HTML, 19 May 2010

Reviewer: alwaysfab Junior Member

I have used Page Mage for a while now. I'm a new eBay seller, selling fashion items and with Page Mage I am able to create really cool and slick magazine style design for my eBay listings. The app gives me so much control on what I can put on my listing and how I lay it out. By playing with transparency and the formatting of the text, I can have something as cool as those pages on the fashion magazines. I also love the fact that I can put multiple pages. It gives a catalogue effect for my listing and it gives a much better presentation for the items I sell. And no HTML..it’s really just drag and drop.

If you don’t like to spend the time playing design, they have selection of nicely designed templates for you to start with. I like designing but to save some times I use my previous design over and over.

Of course, no apps is perfect. Here are some things that came to my attention:
- Once in a while, I notice that a little bit of the text gets chopped when it gets close to the edge of the page.

- The clip art section needs to have less cartoony style.

- Lack of support for eBay store.

- Also wish I could flip things on the page.

In summary, there are still improvements to be done, but I can honestly say that this is the best template tool I’ve tried for eBay.

Great eBay templates, easy to use., 18 May 2010

Reviewer: Rachel723 Junior Member

I just started using Page Mage a few weeks ago, I really love the examples they have on their website and decided to give it a try. It took me a bit to get a hang of it but once I did, I really liked it. They have awesome templates to choose from and liked that they had a good variety. Would definitely recommend it.

Great eBay templates, 8 May 2010

Reviewer: Ethan Junior Member

I really like Page Mage for creating eBay listings. It's really easy to use. They have a great selection of very cool looking pre-built templates. And a lot you can do to customize for your own. For me it's about standing out from everyone else I'm competing against. Very nice that I can post my listings on Facebook too.

Very cool.
