Using voice helps me maximize profits, 12 January 2006

Reviewer: toppix Junior Member

I started using voice in my auctions a fewmonths ago and I experienced immediate results. My bids and profits have never been higher (and I've been selling on eBay for over 8 years)!

Since using voice descriptions, my average # of bids/item has nearly doubled and my sell-through rate has increased by over 20% (from 50% to 70%).

Their subscription fee may seem a little steep but you are automatically enrolled in their affiliate program. Everytime you put voice in your auction there is an affiliate link to the SellersVoice website. And everytime someone signs up through one of your links you will receive $10/month for as long as your referral is active. So 3 referrals and your service is free! Your subscription will probably drop quicker than you might think... in only a few weeks my subscription became free.

If you haven't already tried this service, you at least need to give it a test drive. If you go to SellersVoiceTrial.com they are actually offering a 3-week trial of their service for only a dollar.

Check it out and maximize your profit potential.

Does it really add anything for the price?, 6 April 2005

I considered using this service, but when I found out that it costs $14.9 cents per minute to record your audio over the phone, I was less than enthusiastic. You can also use the microphone on your computer, which is free. The monthly cost of $29.95 seems a little steep, but it is unlimited use for the month. There are sample auctions at the site so you can get a feel for how it works. I found that most people were recording cheesy things rather than adding to the info in their auction or conveying more trust.

You also have to consider if you want to spend the additional time recording an audio for all of your auctions or just a standard audio for all auctions.

In the end, I decided that my time and money were better spent on other things that would truly enhance my business. I find that most things like audio and templates and animated galleries in auctions distract and irritate buyers more than anything. I'll pass for now.
